My newest work.....and I really like this one! I have it hanging horizontally over a bed. This is the first attempt at a new idea I had. The painting has layers of paint and papers applied and then dried. I then remove only sections of the layers to peak at what's beneath the surface. It is fun and scary all at the same time.....and I have no fingernails left! I can then leave the surprise as is or I can add more glazes, oil pastels, etc. I love the start to this year......and I hope to experiment with this technique more.......it's like being on a treasure hunt for good color and surprising shapes.
